Prepreg

A complete range of prepreg systems that have been developed, tested and proven over the last two decades. Available in woven or unidirectional (UD) reinforcements, with curing temperatures from 50°C (122°F) to 175°C (347°F) and end-use temperatures as high as 300°C (572°F).

Low-temperature Prepreg »

Low-temperature curing component prepreg incorporates epoxy resin systems with a range of viscosities, pre-impregnated into high-performance fibers such as carbon, glass and kevlar. They are designed for rapid manufacturing from low cost tooling and often do not require autoclaves.

Cyanate Ester Prepreg »

Amber's Cyanate Ester resin systems have the capability of withstanding temperatures exceeding 300ºC (572ºF). With good handling characteristics, they are ideally suited for high temperature applications. C640 has been developed to cure at temperatures as low as 70°C (158ºF) and along with C740, can offer solutions for applications beyond the temperature capabilities of epoxy systems.

Fire Retardant Prepreg »

Amber's fire retardant epoxy prepreg is designed to meet the same performance as standard products, with the added benefit of qualified fire testing under FAR 25.853 appendix F (ii).

Mid-temperature Prepreg »

Mid-temperature curing component prepreg incorporates epoxy and cyanate ester resins systems with a comprehensive range of reinforcement fibers such as carbon, glass and kevlar. Suitable for all standard prepreg processing methods including vacuum, autoclave and press molding. Designed to provide excellent handlebility and design flexibility. Used in structural components in motor racing, marine, aircraft fittings, sports equipment and almost any other composite application.

Out-of-autoclave Prepreg »

Out-of-Autoclave systems let designers laminate a range of components quickly and more efficiently in a non-autoclave environment while achieving an excellent surface finish. This method allows more flexibility in manufacturing, requires less expensive tooling and gives significa...

Tooling Prepreg »

Our HX-series of epoxy tooling prepregs have become trusted benchmark products in workshops across the composites industry. They have an excellent reputation for reliability, cosmetic surface finish and longevity of tool life. The HX prepregs offer versatile low-temperature c...
