Our most popular low temperature component prepreg system, with an excellent surface finish. Vacuum bag or autoclave processable with excellent handleability and good mechanical properties. Our most widely stocked prepreg. Reinforcements include carbon, glass and aramid, covering weights from 120g - 400g.
Designed for use in high precision automotive and motorsport cosmetic and body work applications. Also used in marine, medical and communication applications.
In a bid to raise funds for the Help for Heroes charity, a team of severly injured soilders successfully climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world. The climbers included one blind man and multiple amputees, and they faced freezing temperatures, sleet and snow so extreme that their local guides were forced to abandon the climb. For ex-servicemen, the most challenging part of the climb was the descent. To help the climbers on their journey down, Sunseeker was asked to produce two lightweight sledges, each light enough to be carried up the mountain by the team and strong enough to withstand the weight of a full-size man on the journey back down. Amber Composites worked closely with Sunseeker to design and build the sledges to achieve the best combination of strength, stiffness and minimal weight.
