Multipreg 8020
This resin system has been developed to offer long out-life and flexible cure schedules and provides an excellent balance of mechanical properties. It can be used as part of the Rapi-ply variable curing temperature system and is particularly well suited for automotive and industrial applications. Reinforcements include carbon, glass and aramid, covering weights from 120g - 870g.

Brammo Empulse RR
The All-Electric Superbike
Brammo has once again set the benchmark with the Empulse RR all-electric Superbike. They began their 2011 campaign by winning both races at the first TTXGP race of the season and by breaking a track record at Infineon Raceway in California.
At the heart of the Empulse RR is a 300V battery pack with more than 12kWh of capacity. It is able to operate at peak powers of 60kW (80hp) over the entire race distance, and can be recharged in less than 2 hours.
The 2011 Empulse makes extensive use of carbon fibre to reduce weight. New carbon parts this year included a revised tail section, tank shape, and numerous structural components.
"With Amber Composites prepreg, we were able to shave 30% off the weight of the assembly versus the previous design," said Brian Wismann, Director of Product Development at Brammo, "As an added bonus, the surface finish was so straight out of the mold that we didn't have to clear or paint it, saving further weight."
