Cambridge University featuring EL - 2201

Cambridge University ECO Racing designs and builds solar-powered racing cars. Their latest car competed in the World Solar Challenge, a gruelling 3,000km race across the Australian outback.

Able to cruise at 60mph and weighing just 160kg, it requires 50 times less power than a normal petrol-fuelled vehicle.

At a time when the automotive industry is being forced to look at a low-carbon future, CUER's vehicle demonstrates the potential of electric vehicle technologies.
