Syntactic Core
Sandwich structures, whether utilizing honeycomb, foam, wood or other core materials, offer composite designers a highly efficient structural solution. In many instances, edge ‘close out’ or the need to use very thin core thicknesses (<3mm) preclude the use of traditional core materials. We have developed a range of syntactic (Amlite®) & syntactic expanding (Amspand®) core materials to overcome this problem.
- Amlite LT64A is a 50°C (122°F) to 80°C (176°F) temperature curing epoxy resin film incorporating low density microspheres, and is supplied in 625mm x 400mm sheets (0.25m2). Amlite LT64A offers redu...
- Amlite SC72A is a 120°C (248°F) curing unsupported epoxy resin film incorporating low density microspheres, and is supplied on 15m x 400mm rolls or in 625mm x 400mm sheets (0.25m2). Amlite SC72A of...
- Amlite SC8020A is an unsupported epoxy resin film incorporating low density microspheres. This material has been developed to offer a long outlife and flexible cure schedules 70°C (158°F) to 130°C (26...
- Amspand ES72A-2 is a 125°C (257°F) curing expanding unsupported epoxy resin film incorporating low density expanding microballons, and is supplied in 625mm x 400mm sheets (0.25m2). Amspand expands ...
