About Us
A small team of people founded Amber Composites in 1988 to develop and manufacture high performance composite prepreg. Prepreg technology was still in its infancy and our early team was involved in developing some of its first commercial applications.
Our corporate headquarters and center for technical excellence is in an area called the East Midlands, in the heart of England. This region was the setting for the industrial revolution in textiles and was therefore a logical place for the birth of the carbon fiber industry decades ago. England is also home to many F1 racing teams, the key customer segment that has driven our growth.
Our success with the F1 community was based on the principles we were founded upon - developing the highest quality material, providing service that goes above and beyond the expected, and setting the industry standard for response times. We now serve a wide variety of industries worldwide including Aerospace, Automotive, Marine, Communications, and more.
We are passionate about the advantages of advanced composites and we will continue to be advocates for reducing weight to increase performance and efficiency.
